Career Highlights
Yazici is an Assistant Professor in
the Department of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering Department
at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining Rensselaer,
she was an Assistant Professor at Drexel University (2001-2003)
and a Senior Staff Scientist at General Electric Company, Global
Research Center (1994-2000).
In addition to being an active researcher,
Yazici has received a number of honors and awards including: 12
US Patent awards; IEEE Industrial Applications Society's best paper
award in 1997; General Electric Company R&D Center's Management
Award for contributions to the 3D computed Tomography, 1999; General
Electric Company R&D Center's publication award, 1998; and General
Electric Company's R&D Center's bronze patent award, 1995.
